BROOKLYN RIDER, called “The future of chamber music” by Strings Magazine, opens the Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 7 pm. Johnny Gandelsman, Violin; Colin Jacobsen, Violin; Nicholas Cords, Viola; and Michael Nicolas, Cello; perform “Citizenship Notes.”
The program, featuring Beethoven: String Quartet in C Major, Op. 59, No. 3, “Razumovsky”, Haydn: String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 20, No. 5, “Sun,” Bob Dylan: The Times They Are A-Changin,’ and newly commissioned works by Don Byron, Angélica Negrón, and Ted Hearne, is sure to electrify the audience!
