Sable Offshore Corp. Resistance Campaign

Why This Matters

The Environmental Defense Center, on behalf of local plaintiffs including the Sierra Club, is leading local efforts to keep the pipeline from being approved.

Sable is on the agenda at the February 25 Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors meeting.

A strong community response at the Board of Supervisors hearing will send a clear message. There will be  other meetings involving state agencies and elected officials that the public should be aware of and prepared for as well..

Here are two opportunities to learn more and get involved in the resistance campaign:

Screenings of  the  documentary Broke,  the film by Santa Barbara’s own Gail Osherenko about the Santa Barbara Oil Pipeline Spill of  2015 will be held on :

Friday. Feb. 7 , at the “Climate Fridays”  group meeting,   3:30-5:00 pm, CEC Environmental Hub. 1219 State Street, Suite A ,Santa Barbara

EDC staff attorneys Linda Krop and Jeremy Frankel will present the current status of the restart proposal, as well as ways our community can take action in opposition. Please plan to join us for a discussion on  collective actions and next steps to make our voices heard!

Please share widely. It’s vital for our community to understand the implications of this proposed project,  join together and make a concerted effort to show up to the  BOS hearing on Feb 25 to be heard!!
