Do you want to get involved in local climate and environmental policy, but don’t know where to start? Join us for a Community Environmental Council (CEC) Climate Activist training to learn how to participate in local government meetings. We’ll cover:

  • How to attend city council, board of supervisors, and other government meetings
  • How to read an agenda
  • How to make an effective public comment

We’ll also review the biggest local climate policy wins of 2023—many of which were rooted in regional, grassroots actions like those taken by CEC’s Climate Policy team and everyday individuals like you. After the training, sign up to become a CEC Climate Activist and be notified when there are opportunities to advocate for strong climate policy in your local community.

This free event will be offered in person and virtually via Zoom, in English and Spanish. Snacks included.
