Race Matters Central American Representation in an Era of Misrepresentation Victor Interiano Thurs, April 25th, 6 PM Workshop Presentation/MCC Lounge

In striving to cultivate a supportive environment for underrepresented Latinx students, this presentation highlights the narratives of Central Americans for affirmation to declare communidad. Victor Interiano will give sociopolitical commentary that provides an intersectional analysis of the systems of power and popular culture that impact Central Americans.

Victor is a Los Angeles-based Salvadoran cartoonist and creator of Dichos de un bicho, a social media platform, and blog that examines life as a Salvadoran in the United States. His work has been featured on Remezcla, Masq Magazine, The Racist Sandwich Podcast, and Feministing, Radio No Jods Podcast, and Voyage L.A. Magazine.
