Chicano Culture SB presents a community lecture and community gathering led by local historian Michael Montenegro.
This event explores the roots and living history of Santa Barbara’s Historic Eastside as it formed Barrio Nuevo, examining three central pillars of community life: Ortega Park, Calle Milpas, and the tradition of the tortilla.
The evening features an on-site lowrider car display and complimentary catering provided by Los Arroyos Mexican Restaurant & Take Out. Sound provided by Frank Ramirez.
