The Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative is delighted to bring back the tradition of hosting a candidates forum on the arts this October.
This forum for current City Council and Mayoral Candidates will focus on the arts and the City’s role in promoting arts and culture. The forum provides an opportunity to hear from all candidates their position on supporting and sustaining the arts in Santa Barbara, and for voters to ask them questions on their positions.
Moderator: Helene Schneider, former mayor of Santa Barbara, current Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative Board member.

The Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative (SBAC) is a nonprofit committed to sustaining and growing all forms of the arts in Santa Barbara. Through long-term programs like the Community Arts Workshop, the Funk Zone Maps, Pianos on State, and in many smaller projects and collaborations, the SBAC works to sustain and grow the unique cultural ecology of our community. For many years, the SBAC has had a tradition of hosting a Candidate’s Forum on the Arts during election years.
The SBAC does not issue endorsements of candidates.
