Join the Community Environmental Council for a powerful showcase of community-led action. Recent alumni of CEC’s new UC Climate Stewards course share their experience, the community action projects they designed, and how they are putting newfound climate knowledge to work within Central Coast communities.

Designed by the UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the 40-hour certification course kicked off in 2021 with 11 organizations statewide. CEC was one of the original partners, with staff taking the instructor training in the summer of 2020. Through coursework, field trips, and a capstone project, CEC’s first two sessions trained 24 people in the science behind climate change, how to effectively communicate about climate, and how to take direct community action.

Register for the webinar to learn more about the program, including how you can join the ranks of UC Climate Stewards in 2022.
