EE Makerspace - Art From Scrap

Let your imagination set sail every Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the EE Makerspace above Art From Scrap.

This month, we’re making waves with eco-friendly sea-themed crafts that spark creativity and celebrate sustainability. Perfect for kids ages 5 and up, these ocean-inspired projects use reclaimed materials in fun and surprising ways.

Aquatic Adventures Projects include:

Cork Boats – Float your own tiny vessel crafted from corks, rubber bands, and scrap materials, ready to set sail in any puddle or sink!

Carton Cod – Transform humble egg cartons into colorful fish with personality, using paint, paper scraps, and googly eyes.

Jumping Jellyfish – Create bouncy jellyfish using recycled skateboard wheel shavings and string. Watch them wiggle and jiggle with life!

Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or a curious landlubber, there’s something for everyone at Crafternoons. Come craft, create, and explore the deep blue with us!

Cost: $8.00 per person. Crafternoons are for kids ages 5 and up.

Please note that our workshop is located upstairs and utilizes hot glue guns. Adults must remain in the EE Makerspace with their child.
