with Diana Hill, Ph.D. Sunday, February 17 / 1-3:30 pm $50 before January 2nd / $65 day-of Join Dr. Diana Hill, licensed clinical psychologist in a workshop designed to foster psychological flexibility. Psychological flexibility is the ability to open up, accept what is, and move in the direction of what matters to you. Learning Objectives: In this experiential workshop we will increase psychological flexibility through: values clarification: align with what matters to you cognitive diffusion- unhook from unhelpful thinking patterns that keep you stuck acceptance and self-compassion-practice openness to difficult emotions and sensations while practice kindness towards your self Comments from previous participants: Clear, knowledgeable and authentic presentation. Dr. Hills honesty and genuineness allowed everyone else to be vulnerable, creating a truly amazing learning experience. The exercises brought the workshop to life and provided us with interventions we can try out with our own clients Dr. Diana is an eloquent speaker, relatable, direct CONTINUING EDUCATION Course meets requirements for 3 hours of continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, and/or LEPs as required by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences. CEUs will be awarded by email or mail after completion of the course and completion of the online course survey. There is a $25 fee for CEUs. If the issue cannot be resolved participants can contact CAMFT. www.camft.org/grievance Dr. Diana Hill is a clinical psychologist who takes a modern, integrative approach to psychology. She draws from her rigorous background in psychological science and contemplative practices to provide holistic therapy that integrates cognitive-behavioral, contextual, and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Hill is a specialist in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, an approach that helps clients become more psychologically flexible by clarifying their values, increasing acceptance, and cultivating the courage to take committed action towards a meaningful live. A Santa Barbara native, Dr. Hill completed her undergraduate work with highest honors, PhiBettaKappa at the University of California at Santa Barbara, majoring in Biopsychology followed by a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Hill collaborated with Stanford University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry in researching Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Bulimia Nervosa and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at La Luna Center Northern Colorado. Prior to moving back to Santa Barbara, Dr. Hill was the clinical director of an intensive outpatient program for the treatment of eating disorders. Currently Dr. Hill offers individual therapy, professional consultation and workshops as well as hosts the Psychologists Off the Clock podcast. Dr. Hill strives to balance a compassionate and effective practice while chasing after 2 young boys, 2 bee hives and 9 chickens in the foothills of Santa Barbara.
