Documentaries Change The World – Talk

Arrowsmith’s summer talk series Cultural Sundays kicks off with a talk by multi international award-winning filmmaker and UCSB Professor, Kum-Kum Bhavnani, whose production company Mirror and Hammer Films builds on the idea that art is not only a mirror to reflect reality but also a hammer with which to shape it. She creates independent documentaries that offer new ways to think about how ordinary people change the world. Her company is dedicated to shedding light on injustices around the world by: bringing people’s stories to life through their lived experiences; creating a visionary world –  making art that shows the world as it is and how it could be, as well as how to enable A better planet.
