The Mustangs Play Draughtsmen Goleta 9/19/2026   6:00pm- 8:00 pm

Yet to be formally released 10 song CD, ‘The Highway of Life’ infuses blues and rock, and then spices it up with some aggression and soul depending on the energy of the individual song.

The Mustangs are: Marc Hesthal (guitars and vocals), David Parker (bassist and vocals), Paul Canter (drums). Jon Lengreid (percussion), Dr. John Vallee (harmonica) and others join the core group depending on the needs of the customer. This Santa Barbara, CA based band, was conceived in the current configuration during the summer of 2015, when these musicians combined from the Phoenix of other local bands. It was apparent that these musicians shared a common musical direction and set of goals — To create music that is enjoyable to play, promotes positive mental imagery for the listener, and can motivate an audience to get up and party.

These musicians believed that a good band should be a balanced between playing covers that people relate to, and ignoring existing musical genres and blending diverse styles to create music that may cross the boundaries established by contemporary classifications.

From the beginning, the creative energy was so abundant that the only obvious choice was to begin the long and meticulous process of recording an album.
