Open your senses to the vibrant birdsong, fragrant flowers, and fascinating insects that call our region home. Nature journaling is an enjoyable and relaxing practice to inspire mindfulness, attention, and connection to the natural world. Nature lovers ages eight and up are invited to join us as we investigate the variety of species popping up at Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, casually writing and drawing what we notice along the way. Each session will focus on a different group of species inhabiting an area of the Museum grounds.

Drop in for as long as you like, or stay for the whole session. Come to just one, or join us for all three. Our nature journaling instructors certified through the Wild Wonder Foundation will provide guidance and tips for learning and practicing this way of engaging with nature. We will provide paper, clipboards, and pencils for you to create your journal entries, but you are more than welcome to bring your own supplies.
