Fielding Graduate University, in partnership with its Staff Council and Faculty Senate, is hosting a beach cleanup on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at East Beach (118 East Cabrillo Blvd.). The community is invited to participate alongside staff, students, alums, and faculty members. Santa Barbara Channelkeeper will coordinate cleaning materials and trash disposal.
Members of the Fielding community organize beach cleanups during the annual January Global Session and other times throughout the year. This effort reflects Fielding’s commitment to social and ecological justice in Santa Barbara and beyond. Volunteers will meet in the lobby of the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort (633 East Cabrillo Blvd.).
