EDN! Santa Barbara 5th Annual Day of Movement

Join our dance family this June for the 5th Annual Day of Movement happening on Saturday, June 1st at Isla Vista Elementary from 1PM until 5PM.
The Day of Movement is an annual community-wide event including an open styles 2 vs 2 Kids Dance Battle (1PM), a Family Dance Class (2PM), and the EDN! Spring Performance (3:30PM) including performances by guest artists. The event is donation-based and open to the entire community.

This year, the three guest dance artists will be

King Charles (a Chicago Footwork living legend)

Korpsx (a Krump Dancer and an EDN! Santa Barbara Instructor)

Stampedee (a Hip Hop Dancer and an EDN! Inland Empire Instructor)

DJ Megatone from Los Angeles will be spinning the good tunes all day, and MC Jesus from Portland will be bringing the good words and good vibes.

Born and raised on the South side of Chicago, King Charles discovered footworkin at the age of 14. After years of training and battling, Charles created a now international footwork crew called Creation, and also became the Artistic Director and an original member of renowned Chicago dance company, The FootworKINGZ, ran by the legendary Lady Sol. King Charles travels the world sharing his art, knowledge and talent battling on the international circuit and has a wealth of performance and choreography experience in shows, music videos, film and television. King Charles has worked with many top artists including Madonna and William. Everybody Dance Now! considers King Charles family because he introduced us to Lady Sol, who is currently an Everybody Dance Now! Instructor and Teacher Trainer in Chicago. Also, our National Director, Kelli Forman, recently joined King Charles’ crew, Creation Global. We can’t wait to have him dance with and inspire our Santa Barbara community!
