Steven Gross (Professor of Horn, UC Santa Barbara) will celebrate 25 years at UC Santa Barbara with a special recital featuring American Double members violinist Philip Ficsor and pianist Constantine Finehouse
The program will feature the West Coast premiere of William Bolcom’s Trio for Horn, Violin, and Piano (2017), as well as Václav Nelhýbel’s Scherzo Concertante, an excerpt from Jiří Havlík’s Concerto for Horn, and Bolcom’s Second Sonata for Violin and Piano. Dr. Derek Katz (Associate Professor of Musicology, UC Santa Barbara) will give a pre-concert talk on Bolcom and his works.
Tickets: $15 – GA, $5 – Non-UCSB Students w/ID, FREE – for UCSB Students w/ID & children under 12.
