Fiesta Dog Parade

Hosted by Old Spanish Days in partnership with Paseo Nuevo, the inaugural Fiesta Dog Parade brings a festive new tradition to downtown Santa Barbara. This lively, family-friendly event invites costumed dogs and their humans to parade along State Street and through Paseo Nuevo, celebrating the city’s rich cultural heritage, community spirit, and love of pets.

Santa Barbara Humane joins as the nonprofit partner, offering on-site activities including a dog hydration station, photo backdrop, and information booth, along with opportunities to learn about local pet services and support animal welfare programs.

The event features a costume contest highlighting creative, Fiesta-inspired looks, plus a DJ, vendor booths, and a red carpet moment for contest winners. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive Old Spanish Days style, and registered dogs will receive a commemorative inaugural bandana.

Note: Only dogs registered in advance are permitted on the parade route; spectators are encouraged to attend without pets.
