The Alcazar Theatre will host a special screening of the documentary “Ocean” (2025) on Wednesday, July 22, 6:30–9 p.m., presented in collaboration with environmental activist Peggy Oki’s Origami Whales Project.

“Ocean” with David Attenborough takes viewers on a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the  ocean. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why a healthy ocean keeps the entire planet stable and flourishing.

“Ocean” will show why ocean recovery is vital for stabilizing our climate and securing a healthier future for us all, and how marine protection – if immediately implemented – can help to turn the tide.

There will be a brief presentation with Oki on how individuals and communities can work to contribute to ocean conservation efforts.

The doors at The Alcazar will open at 6:30 p.m. The film, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, will be shown at 7:00 p.m.

The event has a suggested donation of $5.
