Mindful Heart Programs offers FREE Disaster Relief Workshops at CALM, serving ALL Mental Health Professionals, First Responders, Caregivers and the community at large who have been affected by the 1/9 Disaster. Please bring your own lunch. Workshops have 3 components: Educational, Experiential, and Discussion (in small groups or dyads).

The 3/19/20 workshop at noon is entitled: “In the Aftermath of a Disaster: Learning to Reconnect” with Trainer: Alexis Slutzky, MFT

In the aftermath of a Disaster, we may experience a heightened sense of grief, fear, despair, guilt, and hopelessness. This may stir up worries about Climate Change and how unsafe our environment is, leaving one feel disconnected from nature and from others/ourselves. Learning to reconnect and cope eases the psychospiritual impact of disasters.

The next session will be at noon on 4/16/20, entitled:  “Helping Children Cope”.
