Autumn is right around the corner and with the change of season comes the perfect time to talk about ghost hunting. As part of the Carpinteria Valley Museum of History’s Talk & Talkback Speaker Series, Earlene deMoulpied, a seasoned paranormal investigator, will discuss what it is really like to be a ghost hunter, including myths, misconceptions, and various types of paranormal activity.
The 2025 Talk & Talkback Speaker Series is hosted by the Carpinteria Valley Museum of History. Ghost Hunting: The Adult Version of Hide and Seek will be held on Friday, September 5th from 6 p. m. to 7 p.m. at the museum, 956 Maple Ave. in downtown Carpinteria. The talk is free for members of the museum and $10 per person for visitors.
“Earlene deMoulpied is first and foremost an educator,” said Jayme Yahr, the museum’s director. “If you’ve ever wondered what paranormal activity might look like or what searching for ghosts actually entails, deMoulpied’s talk is a great place to start. She has a wealth of knowledge to share, including ghost history!”
