When a struggling screenwriter gets sage advice from a famous Hollywood ghost, his love life goes through a major rewrite!
Doug Pearson, a frustrated TV writer, seeks inspiration at a Palm Springs B&B with his girlfriend. The inn, once home to Hollywood legend Gloria Swanson, is rumored to be haunted. Doug, caught between his creative ambitions and the chaos of Hollywood, hopes for a quiet weekend to focus on writing. However, the ghost of Gloria Swanson soon appears, offering guidance on love and work. Meanwhile, Doug’s agent arrives with news of a big deal, only to reveal a secret affair with Doug’s girlfriend. While Doug remains oblivious, Gloria and her legendary friends, Carole Lombard and Billy Wilder, help him discover the truth about himself and those around him.
About the playwright
Mark J. Heller is a veteran of the entertainment industry with over 40 years of experience in marketing, production, development, and writing at major studios, including Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Television. An award-winning writer, producer, and executive, Mark understands every stage of bringing projects to life. He has built strong relationships with industry leaders across production, development, publicity, and digital media. Currently, Mark serves as Executive Director of The Handshake Foundation, a nonprofit mentoring teens in the arts. He continues to pursue his passion for writing through film, theater, books, and digital projects.
