Ready to lace up and join us for our annual walk to cure cystic fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a complex, expensive, and time-consuming disease caused by a defective gene that produces thick, sticky mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. In the lungs, mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria, leading to infections, extensive lung damage, and respiratory failure. Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. Some community members are thriving, while others do not benefit from existing therapies, either because their disease is too advanced or because their specific genetic mutations will not respond and face greater challenges. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is a global leader in the quest to find a cure for CF, funding a wide range of research initiatives aimed at addressing every aspect of the disease. While significant progress has been made, much work remains to be done as we still lose precious lives to CF every year.
Join us for our annual 3k/5k walk on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Chase Palm Park Soccer Field from 9AM – 1PM – a day full of celebration, community and fun! Let’s unite to bring hope and joy to those affected by CF and work towards a future where everyone can breathe easier.
Your support helps the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation fund the research and care needed to help advance a cure for this disease. You can help us accelerate progress. Now is the time to act.
