It all starts with the soil… the soil microbiome, that is! The hidden universe beneath our feet is teeming with life. We can work with soil biology to keep our plants healthy and vital. In this fun and engaging Skill Share with Bill Palmisano, aka Santa Barbara’s Worm Guru, we’ll learn about what your soil needs to become or remain fertile, what creatures make up the Soil Food Web, and what types of soil conditions medicinal herbs prefer.

Bill Palmisano has been gardening for decades. He is a landscaper, educator, and composter.

Join us for the Santa Barbara Herbal Exchange, a community gathering for herb and plant enthusiasts. We meet on the 4th Thursday of the Month to share plants, seeds, ideas, skills, recipes, and knowledge. Each meeting features a Botanical Skill Share.

Increase your knowledge of medicinal plants and learn from peers and experts! The Herbal Exchange is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the Botanical World. Bring seeds, plants, herbal products to share if you have them. If you don’t, you are still welcome.
