Preserving your food is a great way to reduce food waste. All produce has a specific method for storing and having the proper skills to do so can help save money in the long run. Saving food means saving on your grocery bill.

Join us at the United Methodist Church (892 Camino del Sur, Goleta, CA 93117) garden on Friday, February 28th from 2-3 pm to learn – alongside the UCSB Edible Campus Program – about the different methods of food preservation and practice them so you can do it yourself!

This workshop is part of the Food Citizenship series put on by the UC Global Food Initiative, a program that focuses on creating real-world solutions for a more just and equitable food system.
