Presenters: Jonathan Colbert and Robert Moore, and a panel of speakers
Are moral chaos and world-weariness all there is? Or, is humanity as a whole undergoing the pangs of spiritual rebirth? Are there political forces holding back or assisting such a rebirth? What might be the effect of vision and virtue, self-actualization and self-transcendence, in midwifing a rebirth of Civitas Humana? Plato asserted that: “If you take a person to a diagram, then you can show most clearly that learning is recollection.” Using a Parapolitical diagram–and a panel of speakers–this seminar will attempt to uncover the dynamics and forces at play as humanity remakes itself in the image of hope, healing, and harmony. Participants will then be asked for their “recollections” (insights)!
Panel topics include: Politics of Vision and Virtue (Elton Hall); Politics of Perfectability (Jonathan Colbert); Politics of Stability (Jennifer Bisheff); Politics of Welfare (Carolyn Dorrance); Politics of Self-Preservation (Maurice Bisheff); Politics of Reason (John Powers); Politics of Power (Robert Moore)

In-person: This is scheduled as an in-person presentation at the Institute of World Culture’s Concord Hall, 1407 Chapala Street, Santa Barbara, California. If you plan to attend in person, masks will be required whether or not you have been vaccinated. There is no need to register in advance, however, please be sure to check the IWC website for any last-minute changes.
