SANTA BARBARA—Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Trauma Services and other local agencies will offer free, drive-up child car seat checks on Saturday, November 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is not needed. No citations will be issued, and there will be no driver’s license or registration checks. All parents are encouraged to have their child seats inspected by our safety experts, as up to 80 percent of car seats are not properly installed.
Vehicles will be inspected on a first-come, first-served basis. COVID safety precautions will be in place, and masks are required.
This event is in partnership with the County of Santa Barbara Fire Department and Emergency Management Services, the City of Santa Barbara Parks & Recreation, Carseat 101, and Safe Kids Santa Barbara County.
