Join Sowing Our Unity Love Justice And Spirituality Souljas Progression and The Arts Fund SB on December 18th, 2021 for an evening of art, music, food, and opportunities for collective healing.

The night will be featuring art from local artist, Talia Tashma-Rapp who has survived a traumatic brain injury and solitary confinement and still wakes up every day on purpose with her service dog, Gaia. Every day Talia is standing on top of that trauma and pushes past mental health and depression so instead of her pain speaking for her, she finds calm in her paintings. This is her art. This is her love. This is Talia, Santa Barbara. Don’t walk past her. Come to support Talia’s Art Exhibition SEEN & HEARD as we look to keep her walking on purpose and expressing her art instead of in depressed in isolation. With your support, we will adorn her walks with her artwork for all of Santa Barbara to see her past her trauma.

SEEN & HEARD is a restoring night that focuses on the mental health that people with eyes walk past or society has a heart for but just hasn’t been able to recognize it in these forms.

SEEN & HEARD is an opportunity to acknowledge, connect, and heal on purpose. This day will open up your eyes. You will never see a mental health or yourself in the same way again. Give yourself permission.

Proceeds from SEEN & HEARD will go towards our Wheels On Purpose Truck and Kangen Water Filter, which will be used for the various community programs that serve the formerly incarcerated, those who are unhoused, and adults and children living in low-income and underserved communities.

The Wheels on Purpose Truck and Kangen Water Filter will be used in the following ways that promote restorative justice:

Trash Disposal & Chronic Waste Removal.

  • Souljas Progression Trash 2 Treasure Community Clean Ups

Mutal Aid Community Outreach & Distribution of Clothing, Nourishment, and Hygiene products

  •  Sunday with Souljas

Creating Green Spaces in Low -Income and Underserved Communities

  • Garden Clothes Afterschool Program at Optimal Christian Academy K-8th in Compton, California transporting soil, mulch, plants, and garden equipment

Bottling and Distributing Clean Drinking Water

  • Clean Drinking Kangen Water at K-8th elementary school in Compton California, surrounding neighborhoods, Grayson’s Awareness Hope House, Bradley Sober Living and other transitional homes in greater Los Angeles, and our beloved community on Skidrow.

One of the most common questions we receive is, “Do you have water to drink?” We’ve all been there. Now live in that! Water is life and it is what is asked for the most. W A T E R . Help us lower the carbon footprint and eliminate the need to buy toxic plastic water bottles. The students don’t want to drink the tap water, and we don’t blame them! Let’s hydrate communities in need and ON PURPOSE!

These programs directly benefit communities, offering employment and volunteer opportunities that shift toxic behavioral patterns and promote healthy lifestyle changes in communities that need it the most.
