John Elliott is a human, the most common and widespread species of primate. He does many things, among them writing songs and performing them. He has been releasing albums and performing in every type of venue you can imagine since the late 90s, touring in 49 of the 50 states and all over Europe. He went viral once and doesn’t necessarily recommend it. He loves YouTube and the literary magazine “The Sun.” He believes most urban car trips can be replaced by walking, transit, or riding a bike. His band, The Band of Supervisors, is a group of musicians from the Bay Area and beyond, representing multiple counties and jurisdictions. It is an evolving Americana-Rock-Folk-Joy-Jam band that plays original music from John’s many albums of almost hits and near misses.
