“He has seen how American politics works close up… yet he has remained uncynical. He is an adroit and appealing storyteller.” The New York Times
One of America’s great public intellectuals and a skilled raconteur, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham brings a depth of knowledge about politics, religion and current affairs that helps us understand how historical events and current issues intersect to impact our lives. The esteemed presidential biographer of Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Franklin D. Roosevelt and George H.W. Bush, he delivered a eulogy at President Bush’s funeral. Meacham’s recent collaboration with country music legend Tim McGraw celebrates the music that helped to shape the nation, and his recent book, The Soul of America, examines the present moment in America by looking at critical times in U.S. history when hope overcame division and fear.
