Locally owned and operated Jules Coast Caviar is pleased to announce their first art exhibition and caviar sampling, featuring local emerging artist Harrison Gilman. The event will be held on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at 5PM. The exhibition will be up May 29th through July 1st.
Jules Coast Caviar, started by Santa Barbara locals Aleigh and her partner Felix, features caviar from the California Caviar Company, a global leader in the production of sustainably farmed, premium caviar. California Caviar Company patented the Kohler Process, making them the first caviar company to use techniques of extraction that don’t harm the sturgeon (i.e. “no-kill” caviar).
In addition to caviar, the couple offers a lovely selection of chocolates, gourmet cheeses, charcuterie, and many other culinary delectable items—Greens Original Brooklyn Babka anyone?! Nancy Silverton’s artigianale gelatos?! In effort to collaborate with the local community, Jules will eventually feature fresh baked sweets from Renaud’s Bakery and fresh sushi from Sushi Bar Montecito. “Our goal is to create a synergy with other local businesses, to collaborate and celebrate our mutual success. This community has given us so much, and we really want to give back,” said Felix.
Artist Harrison Gilman was born and raised in Santa Barbara and thought he was on track as a filmmaker after winning Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s 10/10/10 as a high school senior in 2014. To his surprise he found his love for painting while studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for Filmmaking and never looked back. Gilman is a self-taught artist, discovering his distinctive style by uncovering playful and cerebral imagery hidden within his own stream-of-conscious abstraction.
By the time he graduated, Gilman was accepted into the We Rise Art Fair in Los Angeles, featuring Shepard Fairey and other prominent LA artists. Since then, Gilman has had two solo shows, in Nashville and Santa Barbara, as well as various group shows. His paintings are in homes in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Phoenix, New York City, Nashville, and the UK. At 25, Gilman has achieved significant renown.
Jules Coast Caviar has chosen to work with Harrison Gilman to support a young brilliant artist and serve the local artist community at large.
Another thing we love about Jules Coast Caviar—Social Responsibility!
Making a Difference in the Community…“As a long-time Californian and Montecito resident, I appreciate and value my community, my neighbors and the peacefulness and tranquility Montecito offers. I have been lucky in life and I feel privileged to be able to give back to the place that has made me so incredibly happy for decades. 10% of all gross profits, from our caviar sales, will be donated to local charities that benefit animals; wild and domesticated, marine life, coastal preservation and other environmental and humanitarian causes.” ~Aleigh
