Date & Time

Address (map)

Venue (website)

MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation

With a couple splashes of red wine and paint brushes, you’ll create a unique painting of Santa Barbara’s most popular landmark, the Santa Barbara Mission, with local artist Danielle Renée Methmann. In this workshop, participants will learn Danielle’s techniques for painting with wine, enjoy tasting a curated flight of red wines from local producer, Sanford Winery, and follow along step-by-step to create a monochromatic painting with an aged bottle of the same label.

Each participant will receive one 8”x10” sheet of watercolor paper with a hand-drawn templated design of the Santa Barbara Mission in waterproof ink. An additional small sheet of scratch watercolor paper for the testing of techniques and colors will also be provided.

No prior experience required. All materials + tool rental included in registration cost. Aprons will be available, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting wine on.  Also includes a light snack. Must be 21 or older to attend.
