This month the Funk Zone Art Walk will be from 5-8PM on Friday May 17, 2019.
Make sure to check out all the art venues in the area and also stop by MichaeKate Interiors and Gallery, 132 Santa Barbara St. to see a new show curated by Jan Zigler called Motility. Featuring artists, Brad Nack, Tom Post, Rick Doehring, and Douglas DaFoe. Live music by Mark Walker, Kris Ehrman & friends.
The Funk Zone Art Walk is a fun event. Around 20 artist studios, galleries, and art-centric venues combine efforts to coordinate each new exhibition opening. Then on the same Friday night, they all open to the public from 5-8pm.
At any given venue, visitors can expect events such as exhibition openings and artist receptions, insightful art lectures, live music and performances, pop-up artist booths, beer and wine tastings, and various other interactive activities, making it the ideal way to casually experience the Funk Zone’s cultural vibe. This community event hosts hundreds of guests and supports local artists, galleries and businesses.
