In this Weekend retreat for people in recovery, which includes AA, NA, Al-Anon, ACA, and their friends, we will investigate mindfulness meditation and contemplative prayer. Coming from many perspectives, we will talk about surrender, love, and compassion. Together we will strengthen our meditation and prayer foundations and find refuge in our spiritual practice so we can live a healthy, connected, and inspired life.

Meditation allows anyone who practices it, to tap into an experience of openness and expansiveness. That broader frame of reference and heightened consciousness enables us to engage more deliberately, be more present, be driven less by negative self-talk and unexamined emotion, respond less reactively, and take greater control of our actions, emotions, connections, and environment. The retreat will include silent meditation sits, guided meditations, walking meditations, individual coaching, dharma talks, Q&A, and groups discussions.

Anahita Holden will be guiding us in mindful movement (gentle yoga) on Saturday.
In order to nurture a sense of stillness and deep listening, silence will be maintained throughout the retreat.

This retreat is not affiliated with any 12-step program.
