John Douglas is a professional pianist, music director, composer, songwriter, arranger, and teacher. He is on adjunct faculty in the music departments at SBCC and Westmont College and is the music/choir director at the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Goleta. John’s original songs and compositions have supported local theater productions at UCSB, Westmont, SB High School, and City at Peace Santa Barbara. Bassist Tom Lee is a veteran of the Cache Valley Drifters and The Bluegrass Cardinals as well as many other local groups over the years. A current member of The Very Lonesome Boys and Ulysses Jasz, Tom is right at home playing bass lines for folk, Hawaiian, traditional jazz, and bluegrass music. In addition to his performances, Tom administers the Song Tree concert series at Live Oak. Carter Morgan is a drummer and singer who has played in many local bands since attending UCSB in the 1970’s. For the past 10 years, he has played with The Nombres, a local rock and country-flavored band. On most Sundays, Carter supports the music program during services at Live Oak UUC by singing and playing drums and guitar.
