“Guess who’s coming to Santa Barbara, Natty Dreadlock!” That’s right, Grammy Award Winning Reggae Legend, Mykal Rose will headline our Friday, August 20th “Evenings at Elings” from 5 – 10 p.m. He will be joined on stage by the local Santa Barbara reggae band, King Zero, Free Love Project, and DJ Marco!

For over 25 years, Mykal Rose has been recording and performing his brand of militant, hardcore Jamaican music to the delight of reggae fans around the world. As a solo artist, with Black Uhuru, and back as a solo artist, the “Ruff” Rose has achieved great success throughout his career, even as different Jamaican musical styles have phased in and out of popularity.

As a solo artist, Mykal Rose regularly tours the U.S. and Europe and has maintained his Jamaican fan base with hit singles on the island and abroad. He is a modern roots singer and fits perfectly into today’s scene. With a glorious past and a wide-open future, Mykal Rose is truly a reggae superstar.

Joining him on stage will be Santa Barbara’s own King Zero and Ventura’s Free Love Project!

This will be a limited ticket event and will sell out!

Food is available for purchase, and Firestone Walker Craft Beer, Cali Squeeze Seltzer, and red and white wine will also be available for purchase.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Make sure to get there early as King Zero will open up at 5:30 p.m.

We expect this event to sell out and tickets may not be available for purchase at the door. If tickets are available, they will be $35 at the door.

Music Lineup:
Free Love Project: 5:30 p.m.

King Zero: 6:45 p.m.

DJ Marco: 7:30 p.m.

Mykal Rose: 8 p.m.

This will be an all-ages event and a great opportunity for the community to enjoy some great reggae music with plenty of room for social distance.

Tickets are just $25 and children 12 and under are FREE!!! Any children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

• Food
• Lawn Chairs
• Blankets

These items are not allowed:
• Alcohol
• Pop Up Tents
• Coolers

Parking is available onsite for $10. Please be courteous to our neighbors, and do not park in the surrounding neighborhoods. Get to our event safely. Uber and Lyft drop-off are available.

This event is benefitting the Elings Park Foundation.
