Join SBHRA as we explore the difference between stress and a stressor, help you understand the stress response in the body and in the brain. You’ll take home 5 ways to generate calm in the body and in the brain. These techniques help avoid burnout by utilizing self-compassion, body movement, breath work, gratitude and mindful moments

SBHRA is an HR professional membership association representing a wide variety of organizations, primarily within Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. SBHRA focuses on HR leadership guidance and education for the HR professional and the business community. The Association provides a local forum for personal and professional leadership development; educational programs open to members and the general public; an extensive, local networking arena; and attention on employment legislation related to local, state, and national HR management issue. In planning the event, we must guarantee attendance with the venue provider by a specific date. We become locked in for the expected number of attendees, which means we incur an attendance fee regarding your registration. 

  • To receive a refund, you must cancel by the Cancellation Deadline 2/14/20 – the FRIDAY before the program date. 

  • Neither credit nor refund will be extended after the deadline.

  • Additionally, neither credit nor refund will be extended to no-shows. 

  • You will still be invoiced and expected to pay if you register for the event and either cancel on the day-of or do not show.

  • We do allow substitutions at the correct rate for the substituting person (as either a member or nonmember).

  • We also allow walk-ins for those who cannot plan ahead.
