Free, informal chats are weekly during Fall Planting Season. Retail Manager Matt Straka presents quick tips, tricks, and best practices for planting with California native plants. Topics include garden prepping before planting, what defines an “established” plant, techniques for soil and mulch, and how to identify the right plant for the right place. Participants can also browse through the Garden Nursery, which features the largest selection of native plants on the Central Coast. Questions welcomed and shopping assistance available by Nursery staff.

Free with Garden admission, but registration is required at https://sbbotanicgarden.org/visit/plan-your-visit.
