Performing and Visual Arts Camp (PVAC) & the SB School of Performing Arts (SOPA) are proud to present their 2026 summer production “Once Upon A One More Time” for four shows, July 31 at 7 pm, August 1 at 2 pm and 7 pm plus August 2 at 2 pm.
“Once Upon A One More Time” turns our favorite fairytales upside down with a clever twist. When a fairy godmother goes rogue and plops copies of “The Feminine Mystique” in the laps of classic heroines, the damsels embark on a quest to rewrite their stories to redefine “Happily Ever After.” Powered by the undisputed Princess of Pop, the show weaves 23 Britney Spears smash singles (ex: “Crazy,” “Oops! I Did it Again,” “Circus,” “Lucky,” “Toxic”) into a big modern musical dance party with Britney’s beating heart at its core.
Director Andrew Nunez, Musical Director Dauri Kennedy and Choreography Director Karyn Laver (Dance Network), guide the students (ages 10-17) in the show the product of the four week PVAC & SOPA camp at La Cumbre Jr HS.
Shows are at the Jo Ann Caines Theatre, LaCumbre Jr High School, 2255 Modoc Rd, Santa Barbara.
PVAC & SOPA have been providing theatre summer camps for over 20 years. The 4 week program exposes students to all aspects of theatre including singing, scenery and backstage components that make a show a success. Camp started July 6 and ends with final matinee August 2. Many students are on scholarship
