Cheri Rae, author and board member of the Pearl Chase Society, presents “SANTA BARBARA VISIONARIES: Bernhard and Irene Hoffmann”, the latest in the 2025 Kellam de Forest Speaker Series !!! Pearl Chase described Bernhard Hoffmann as “a practical idealist.” He and his wife, Irene, moved to Santa Barbara from historic Stockbridge, Massachusetts in 1921. They shared a vision “to make Santa Barbara a beautiful city with an architecture in harmony with its historical background.” Join us for a fun evening as Cheri discusses how the Hoffmann’s were able to turn their vision of Santa Barbara into a reality, before and after the 1925 earthquake.
