Need the perfect accessory to make your outfit wow the crowds at the Upcycle Couture Fashion Show? Get ready to remix and create your own one-of-a-kind statement piece at this wildly imaginative workshop in the EE Makerspace above Art From Scrap!
In conjunction with the Arts Collaborative’s Upcycle Couture: A Reuse Runway Event, we’re inviting you to dress up, get creative, and make an accessory that’s uniquely yours. Create a fabulous fascinator, flashy upcycled jewelry, a stylish appliquéd or embroidered embellishment, or whatever your imagination inspires!
Tools and materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favorite materials and treasures to remix, too.

About Upcycle Couture: The Upcycle Couture Fashion Show takes place Friday, October 16, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Community Arts Workshop (CAW). Hosted by the Arts Collaborative in memory of former Outreach Committee member Jami Joelle Nielsen, this first-ever fashion show fundraiser will support emerging designers and Arts Collaborative programming while highlighting creative solutions to the environmental impacts of fast fashion.
Guests will enjoy refreshments, music, educational booths, and a fabulous runway show featuring handcrafted designs by local designers. All clothing will be available for purchase, with awards honoring artisanship and innovation.
