Chaucer's Books
As part of Santa Barbara Black Culture House programming for Black History Month, co-founder Sally A. Foxen-McNeill will have her first ever solo exhibition of her photographs of “Icons of Black Music,” including portraits, intimate candids and live action shots of legendary performers like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Charles Wright and Sly Stone.
Sally’s photos will be exhibited in the artist space near the front of the store, with photo descriptions and an artist statement immediately to the left of the display. The exhibition will be at Chaucer’s Bookstore through February 28, and free and open to the public from 9AM to 8PM.
Santa Barbara Black Culture House is made possible through a grant from the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture, and in partnership with The Black Rock Coalition, Chaucer’s Bookstore and The Santa Barbara Public Library.
