Calling all plant people! Join us for the Santa Barbara Herbal Exchange, a community gathering for herb and plant enthusiasts. We meet on the 4th Thursday of the Month to share plants, seeds, ideas, skills, recipes, and knowledge. Each meeting features a Botanical Skill Share.

This month, our Guest Instructor is Emily Sanders, local clinical herbalist and founder of the Artemisia Academy. Emily will lead a workshop on the magic and medicine of the Artemisias.  Artemisia is the genus for 3 local plant species, Sage brush, Wormwood, and Mugwort, which have been used for thousands of years for both their medicinal and ceremonial purposes. Learn how to make Sagebrush liniment for aches and pains, a Mugwort tea for sleep and dreams, and Mugwort bitters tincture for stimulating digestion. Everyone will go home with one item!

Increase your knowledge of medicinal plants and learn from peers and experts at the Herbal Exchange! Our monthly meeting is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the Botanical World. Bring seeds, plants, and herbal products to share if you have them. If you don’t, you are still welcome.
