WHAT: Santa Barbara Landing (SBL) is celebrating new ownership and the renovation of its tackle shop. At no cost, the public is invited to tour passenger sportfishing and dive boats and meet their crew. There will be fishing tackle demonstrations and kids can fish from the dock- they will be provided fishing gear and bait to use for free, and there are lots of other activities, including raffles and pictures with a mermaid. Kayaks can be rented for half-price and used SCUBA and fishing gear is on sale.
“The entire family is invited to enjoy a ‘Day at the Docks’ to see all the exciting changes coming to Santa Barbara’s gateway to ocean adventure,” said Jaime Diamond, CEO of the Santa Barbara Landing. “Come aboard our boats, visit with our crews, learn to fish, and so much more.”
Santa Barbara Landing (SBL) came under new ownership February 1, 2021. It is home to Stardust Sportfishing Vessels Stardust & Coral Sea, Channel Islands Expeditions Vessels Vision and Truth, Condor Express Whale Watching, Dive Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara Jetski Rentals. Santa Barbara Landing has kayak & SUP rentals along with a fully stocked bait and tackle shop. Additional renovations are planned over the next two years, including retail space, a coffee shop, a fishing center to host fishing seminars, SCUBA classes, and more.
