The Bonsai Club of Santa Barbara, the oldest bonsai club in California, invites you to its 48th Annual Bonsai Show & Sale on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Montecito Union Elementary School, 385 San Ysidro Rd, Santa Barbara. Admission is free and open to all who want to explore the world of bonsai. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or just curious about this ancient living art form, come and connect with a welcoming community of bonsai lovers to learn, create, or just admire some amazing, centuries old, sculpted trees.
What to Expect at the Show
- A Variety of Bonsai on Display – Trees from distinguished club members showcase the many diverse styles and artistry of bonsai.
- Live Demonstrations by Masters – Renowned bonsai artists Mel Ikeda, Ann Erb, and Jeff Sczechowski will lead engaging, beginner-friendly demos each day at 1 PM.
- Bonsai for Every Level – Whether you’re looking for a starter tree or a collector’s specimen, the sales area offers a variety of trees, pots, tools, and rare species, from Club members and vendors, Mel Ikeda and Guy Hous.
