SB Sunrise Rotary’s Dolphin Dive Festival at Chase Palm Park’s Great Meadow.
Sunday, July 9th, 11:00-5:00
This festival is FREE to the public and is designed specifically for family fun.
There will be live music by The Molly Ringwald Project and Do No Harm.
Gloria’s Gourmet Kitchen, Cousins Maine Lobster, and Kona Ice will provide a nice selection of nourishment and the Wine and Beer Garden will cater to the adults that attend.
Face painting and lawn games hosted by the United Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara County will entertain children of all ages throughout the day.
Finally, the signature activity, the DOLPHIN RACES, will go on all day with five (5) races What are the DOLPHIN RACES? A 200 ft. race course (Slip ‘N’ Slide) is constructed on the hill of the Great Meadow. Over 1000 numbered miniature dolphins are placed in a huge water tank at the top of the hill. The tank’s gate is opened and all the dolphins dive down the race course. The three that finish the race 1st, 2nd, & 3rd all receive cash prizes. Those that adopted dolphins (purchased the dolphin’s number) have four chances to win. The fifth race is free for children who will decorate a dolphin at the Dolphin Decorating Booth.
