Jose Antonio Rodriguez is one of the world’s leading flamenco guitarists. He is a remarkable award-winning guitar player acclaimed for his powerful and evocative renditions of modern contemporary flamenco. Jose has performed on international music festivals sharing the stage with the greatest musicians from around the world Paco de Lucía, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Astor Piazzola, Alejandro Sanz, Joan Báez, George Benson, Arturo Sandova, and John McLaughlin among others, and was the special guest artist for the Latin Grammy Person of the Year’s tribute to Alejandro Sanz in 2017. He has recorded guitar on countless multi-awarded international albums including “Macarena” (Los del Río), and “No Es Lo Mismo” (Alejandro Sanz), and was featured in Carlos Saura’s movie FLAMENCO.
For this special show, Jose will open with solo pieces and then be joined by Andres Vadin (guitar) and Nacho Arimany (percussion) for some smooth and beautiful tunes and then more lively and sophisticated contemporary flamenco.
