This live virtual weekly class will focus on self expression and reflection through clay. We will be using hand building techniques to create functional pieces such as mugs as well as sculptural works. Each piece will be made in response to something that is inspiring to the maker such as a favorite designer, musician, artist, social movement, or activity. We will have opportunities for group critiques and conversations about ceramic pieces. Once the course is complete we will also create a zine of images of the work from the class. Each student will receive a copy of the zine when they pick up finished items.
