San Francisco’s top Dylan cover act will pay tribute to Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead on Dylan’s birthday at the beautiful Alcazar Theater. Saturday, May 24 is the bard’s 83rd birthday and the Alcazar will again host Shakey Zimmerman, playing a full set of Dylan songs followed by a big set of Dead tunes.
Led by Pat Nevins and featuring several SB former and current residents, SZ will honor the 1987 stadium shows the Dead and Dylan played that summer. Featuring Chris Ulep, Bryan ‘Smitty’ Smith, David Cowan, Roger Len Smith and Jay Wilcox, this will be a dynamic and jam-heavy night of great music. Tickets are on sale now at the Alcazar website.
