Have you been mulling over whether or not manzanitas need water in the summer? Curious about ceanothus watering care? Wondering how to water woolly blue curls during their first summer? As we move into the warmer months of the year, it is important to know when and how to water California native plants. Join us for our irrigation class with a focus on watering in the summer.
This class will meet in classroom in the Library and will be followed by a walk around the Garden for demonstrations of irrigation systems and soils.
It is highly recommended that participants wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a hat and/or sunscreen and a water bottle.
Although the Garden is dog-friendly, only service animals are permitted at this Garden class.

About Alejandro:
Alejandro was born and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up, he assisted his parents with their landscaping business. Some of his earliest memories are of looking at flowers, finding insects in the leaves, and spending many hours in the garden with his family. Alejandro has experience in habitat restoration, horticulture, and education. As the Garden’s Horticultural Educator, he is passionate about connecting people with native plants.
