The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden welcomes Dr. Robin Gose, President and CEO of MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation for a look at how open-ended play fosters discoveries in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) for the whole family. Throughout her 20-plus year career as an educator, Dr. Gose has developed inclusive science and environmental learning opportunities for people of all ages to learn by doing. In this presentation, Dr. Gose will share the best practices and principles of inquiry-based learning, as well as specific examples that highlight how play, discovery, and learning can all be synonymous.
