Elings Park

Lace up your hiking shoes and experience the scenic trails of Elings Park at Summit for Danny, a community hiking event bringing together outdoor adventure, wellness and a great cause. Hikers of all ages and abilities can choose between easy and intermediate routes, whether you’re looking for a leisurely trek with family and friends or want to take on the timed challenge and compete for a top-finisher medal. Dogs are welcome to join the adventure too!

After hitting the trails, stick around for a barbecue lunch, refreshments, live music, an awards ceremony and community program. This year’s event is also adding a guided stretch led by a local yoga studio, rounding out a morning centered around movement, fresh air and fun at one of Santa Barbara’s most scenic outdoor spaces.

Summit for Danny benefits the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) and its Daniel Bryant Youth and Family Centers, supporting treatment and services for local youth and families. The Daniel Bryant Youth and Family Centers have been providing safe and effective outpatient treatment for youth struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Lompoc since 2001.

Please note: Summit for Danny also includes a separate hike at Orcutt Community Park on October 10th.
